Ben Abbaszadeh is a multifaceted post-production supervisor with experience in all stages of post-production pipelines.
Ben partners with studios such as 9.14 Pictures, All Ages Productions, and All That’s Good Productions, working on projects for clients such as Taylor Swift Productions, Comcast, K-Y, Hasbro, and GrubHub. He adapts quickly whenever brought in mid-production to assist with documentaries, commercial projects, and internal work.
Most recently, Ben served as an Assistant Editor for the docuseries, Taylor Swift: The End of an Era, now streaming on Disney+. Ben’s contributions included cataloging, curating, and delivering footage to episode editors, crafting compelling sequences that elevated the storytelling, and designing visual effects. This role demanded precision, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving at the highest level.
He served as an Assistant Editor for the docuseries, The Price of Milk. The documentary, directed by Yoni Brook, features an objective perspective of the American dairy industry’s history and current issues. Ben played a role in both the production and post-production of the project, giving him a unique vantage point as he worked with footage in the editing process.
Ben also earned an Assistant Editor credit for his work on the critically acclaimed docuseries, Philly D.A., created and directed by Ted Passon with co-director Yoni Brook and producer Nicole Salazar. The series had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival and had its international premiere at the Berlin Film Festival; becoming the first docuseries to ever screen there. It was named, “One of the best TV shows of 2021” by TIME, The NY Times, Variety, The LA Times, The Hollywood Reporter, The Washington Post, Vulture, Vogue, Slate, The Ringer, and Indiewire.
Ben partnered with All That’s Good Productions, earning an Assistant Editor credit for his work on the Unreleased Branded Series created by K-Y and hosted by Vox (featuring Oliver Hudson and Erinn Bartlett). He entered the project at the very early stages of post-production while the show was still being shot and began preparing materials for the lead editors of each episode. This allowed the editors to focus entirely on crafting each episode’s narrative as Ben handled all extraneous needs, such as setting up footage sync-maps, audio editing/mixing, and compiling cutaway and b-roll footage libraries.
Previously, Ben worked as the Art & Deliverables Coordinator for Breaking Glass Pictures, a film distribution company specializing in independent and international films. Ben designed both digital and physical marketing materials from film posters to DVD covers, as well as assets for streaming platforms like Netflix, Amazon, and Peacock.
Notable films included:
Abe (2019), starring Stranger Things’ Noah Schnapp and Seu Jorge, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou (2004)
Sometimes Always Never (2018), featuring Bill Nighy, Love Actually (2003), and Sam Riley, Maleficent (2014)
